Millie

We had our cat Millie from Fran last January, from the moment we saw Millie, we knew she was the right one for us. As you can see now Millie has settled in just fine.

She was quiet to start with with but has turned out to be a very loving and affectionate and very spoilt cat.

But sometimes she can be very naughty!!

Zoe

Hi, Leah and Jan here from West Cross,

Just an update really to let you know how Zoe is getting on :) its been a few months since we had her now,and she is fitting in perfectly! She is such a lovely cat, we have no idea how we coped without her. We've changed her name to nettles, because she always sits by the nettle bush in our garden!

She is still very vocal ^^, not as frequent now though since she has calmed down. We always get a very loud miaow when we call her, and we are more than informed when it's time to be fed lol!

She is fitting in around the neighbourhood as well, and has made a good few feline friends! She now loves lots of cuddles and is very affectionate.

Just wanted to thank you and all the people at the cats protection league for helping us find our
perfect little kitty :). She is now a full member of the Ratcliffe family, and we hope she will be for some time to come.
I have attached a few pics for you guys to look at :)

lots of love
Leah,Jan and Anya Ratcliffe :)

Poppy

I thought I would give you an update on how Poppy (formerly Pansy) is getting along. She was a very frightened little cat when she first came home and didn't leave the attic room for a week. Slowly after time spent sitting in the room talking to her, even though she wouldn't come near, she started to venture out and watch me from the top of the stairs.

Now?? Now I can hardly walk around without someone running in front of me and rolling on her back to get her belly tickled!! She loves her garden and even though she doesn't go very far will sit out for hours on end. She has also developed a rather charming habit of waking me on weekends (not happy that her food is not being delivered on time) and tapping whatever bodypart is not hidden by the duvet, secretly I love it really.

She is even becoming more and more confident with visitors, and can be tempted to come to them if given a little treat, although I think she will always be my little baby and never be totally trusting of people in general. I'm ever so glad I came across Poppy that day and i'm pretty sure she is too.

If someone has adopted a very shy cat all I can say is give it time. Many a time I wondered if Poppy would every settle as she was such a scared little thing, with patience and letting things progress at her pace she is now a very happy purry cat.

Best wishes
Emma

Rozy Bear

Hi Judy & my feline friends,

Well I`ve been with my new humans for 10 months now doesn`t time fly! Life is still very much the same, wake my Mam human at 7am to have brekkie then staight out to survey my territory to see if anything has changed during the night, my Mam won`t let me out at night as there are foxes around whatever they are, I myself find the big black cat that comes around scary enough he seems to think he owns everything, one of these days I will put him in his place and see how he likes it.

I have been away in the caravan again, I find it very relaxing, watching the birds and rabbits I don`t think much about those other four footed pets they come in all shapes and sizes, too fat, too thin, too big, too small, there was one which did give me a bit of a fright I think my Mam said he was an Alsation, I wouldn`t like to meet him on a dark night. When we go in the cararvan now I have started to go outside still on my harness in case I make a run for it but it is nice to have some fresh air.

Well that`s it for now I have also added some photos for you to have a look at.
Meow for now, love Rozy bear.

Cleo

Bev says-

Please find attached a couple of snaps of Cleo. We are really happy with her and love that fact that she's a little vocal! Vaccinations are all up to date so we just need to get her chipped and she'll be up to date.

Hope you like the snaps.

Misha and Sasha

Hi Judy

I have been looking at the Swansea website and thought you would like to see some pictures of Misa (Misha) and Sasa (Sasha) who I took from Swansea CP 4 years in July. They were then called Ben and Honey.

Misa is the big black and white and Sasa the calico tortie. Misa is a huge handsome boy who is still scared of people except me and Sasa sadly still will not allow herself to be touched although she loves her creature comforts and occasionally will eat out of my hand.

Both are gorgeous and walk down the garden holding paws and are great friends even though they had never met before coming here.

I work on one of the UKs biggest cat forums, Purrs in our Hearts, a sister site to Cat Chat and each year we have a Cat Show. Last year Misa was voted third which made me very proud and this years show will be starting shortly and will be all LOLcats, so should be lots of fun.

If you wanna check us out we are at purrsinourhearts.co.uk and you can view us without joining.

Holly and Jinx

Holly & Jinx (formerly Jake & Samantha)

Holly & Jinx have been with us now about 3months and have settled down really well.

Jinx is quite adventurous and likes going out in the garden to play. He is fascinated by water, having gone in the bath twice and the pond once – he likes nothing more than sitting on the side of the bath when someone is in it!!!

Holly is a little more reserved, not too bothered about going out but I think that is more to do with the fact that she thinks she will miss out on some food – for a little cat she eats like a horse and forever wanting more and pinching her brother’s food.

They are both very affectionate and loving cats and enjoy a cuddle, but at times they do chase each other round the house and fight – when that happens; it sounds like a herd of elephants when they run up and down the stairs.

Milly

This is Milly who I had off you about a year ago. She was quite timid to begin with but has slowly got used to people.
She’s a great little girl who likes eating, sleeping & LOVES the heated floors which she tends to lie on in a very unladylike manner (see pic).

Simba

Mary sent these photos of Simba. What a lovely (rather silly) big boy!
He has settled in well.

Molly and Milly

Hi Judy,

Hope you are well. Kittens have settled in nicely. They are very affectionate toward each other and us. Right now Milly is sleeping on me and my arm is dead but I don't want to move her because she looks so sweet. Molly is cuddling with Jon. I couldn't find them earlier for ages, I eventually found them cuddled up together in the pet bed. Took a picture but I'm having trouble uploading it at the moment. Molly likes to play but Milly wont play with us, she'll only play with Molly. They also like to clean each other. They love to cuddle up on the bed with us at night. When I get up in the morning though, they think its solely to feed them. They get very vocal if I don't feed them immediately. I've attached a couple of pics that Jon took on his phone, I've got some good ones on my digital camera but they wont upload at the moment.

Annabell and Ali

Angela sent this photo of Annabell and Ali relaxing.
She says "A favourite game of theirs is chasing the rabbits, there is no malice in their actions, in fact when the rabbits stop running so do they!
Both girls have beuatiful sleek, shiny coats and look fantastic. Annabell has taken to sleeping on Matthew's bed, they snuggle up together most afternoons.
Ali is an amazing character and will jump straight on my lap if I put on my 'cat voice'. She is very funny first thing in the morning, when I wish her a good morning she gets so excited she doesn't know what to do with herself.
We love them both dearly. Thank you for giving us the girls".

Teddy and Chester

Teddy and Chester pictured in their new home.
Teddy developed diabetes whilst in the cattery but as soon as he had a new home and a relatively stress free life he recovered from the condition. Chester was another long stay, problem cat as he has a chronic chest condition.
They have well and truly landed on their paws in their new home.

Debbie sent these pictures of the girls enjoying the recent snow. Tinky (tabby) loved it but Maisie (tortoiseshell) was not too sure!

Felix and Boo

Berni says -
Milly is still not liking Felix, but has adapted. They are all healthy and active...sometimes very naughty.
I attach a couple of pictures of Boo and Felix. I think Felix is training for a "Cutest cat 2009" award...

Snowball

Snowball was rescued from Gower last summer. He was in a sorry state, his fur was brown from being out in all weathers and he had a runny nose and eyes i.e. cat 'flu. After some time at the vets and then with a fosterer he recovered fully and is now a beautiful black cat.
Katherine sent this photo of him.

Trinnie, Iolo and Jazz

JUST A FEW PHOTOS OF ME AND MY TWO BROTHERS JAZZ AND IOLO. IOLO IS MY BEST FRIEND AND MY PROTECTOR. SINCE I GOT POISONING FROM THE MOUSE I CAUGHT IOLO HAS BEEN EXTRA PROTECTIVE TOWARDS ME AND HE EVEN GAVE ME A WASH SEVERAL TIMES A DAY WHEN I WAS TOO SICK TO DO IT MYSELF.I LOOKED AFTER HIM WHEN HE HAD TO HAVE HIS 2 MOLARS EXTRACTED. Pebbles

Rhian says " Pebbles has settled in incredibly quickly and has become a celebrity amongst the neighbours who all think he is fabulous. He seems to like living with us and we love having him. He is very well behaved coming and going as he pleases. He still has a very large appetite and I'm pretty sure that half the neighbourhood are also feeding him. Please find attached some pictures. "

Luke

'Luke has settled in really well, he's growing in confidence every day and is a wonderful little lad. He's very affectionate and loves his cuddles. He's probably filled out a bit since you last saw him, he certainly loves his food!! But he also loves to play and has started to venture outside for 10 - 15 minuted in the morning. It's amazing having him in the family, we all adore him, the children Amy, Megan and Hywel have been showing photo's of him to their friends, I think he has a fan club already! We'll keep in touch x'

Basil and Millie

Gareth says
"Just thought you might be interested in seeing these photos of our “little angels”.
They are both about 3kg now, and are still not allowed out, until they have been neutered at least.
But I think they are ready to go out now, as they have both collided with the patio doors in attempting to catch a bird - painful!!"

Ros and Teddy

One of our staunch supporters, Ros who lives in Jersey decided to visit sunny (!) Swansea on August Bank Holiday weekend. Despite the weather she braved the mud at Margam Park but needed to buy a scarf from our stall to keep warm! She was given a mini tour of Gower (in the rain) by 2 committee members for which she was grateful, as her hire car had broken down!
She is pictured here with Teddy our lovely, big, diabetic tabby cat.

Maisie and Tinky

Hi Judy
Just thought I would send you a couple of updated photos of the girls! They are both great and love each other to bits! We are going on holiday later this month and I am trying a cattery called Abertawe Five Star Hotel for Cats near Clydach. It looks really nice - I'll let you know. Even if it was fantastic they will both hate being there! They love their garden at home too much! Hope all is well with you.
Regards
Debbie

Jack (previously called Muppet)

Hi Judy.Just a quick update nine months down the line.Well, what can I say, the difference is astonishing. His character has developed so much in that time. He gives us no end of laughs and a lot of pleasure. He love the great outdoors but doesn`t go far. on the whole he`s become lazy but don`t they all.I`ve attatched some recent pics. He`s having his booster on friday. That will be fun! He can still swipe but it`s usually related to food issues,ie when offered something he doesn`t like that he did like last week! How do they learn to be fussy eaters?Any way, that`s all for now.best wishes Ros & Dave Phillips.PS hope my links work

Rozy

Hi Judy and all my other feline friends,

I thought I`d let you know how I`ve settled in with my new humans. I think I`ve made the right choice in choosing them, a lot of nice humans came to view me but I was waiting for two special ones who I knew would look after me. When they came the man human said I was the one he wanted but the lady human was a bit unsure about having another cat as they had lost `Pickles` (what a strange name for a cat maybe she smellt of pickle onions) last December, any way to get back to my story, the day came when they came to fetch me, I was placed in a carrier and then we had to go into this larger carrier with wheels which moved quite quickly, I wasn`t at all fussed about the journey and was glad when we arrived at my new home. Out of my carrier I came and I was allowed to go exploring, they had bought me quite a few new toys and a new pink bed and a radiator bed, also water and food bowls which had pictures of all the disney cats on them. I was a bit unsettled for the first two days, I even hid behind the washing machine which gave my humans quite a fright, anyway I have settled down really well. I love exploring the fields behind my house, I even managed to catch a present for my humans to say thank you but I think it upset them. Every now and then we go off in that big carrier with wheels to stay in our caravan, they put a harness with a lead on me and I`m allowed to go outside, what an adventure! Well my feline friends this is another happy ending, one day that special someone will come and choose you but for the time being you are loved and looked after well were you are. I think it`s time for another stroll out the garden.
Take care and lots of meows Rozy xx

Maggie

Hello, I thought I'd send you a quick update on Mrs Tabby (now named Maggie). She settled in extremely well from day 1 and is now a well loved member of the family! She loves to play and is very fond of her scratching pole. Maggie has been out exploring the garden but never goes far, I think she much prefers us to be in her sight. Thank you for giving us the opportunity to give her a loving home. Crystal

The Holy Trinity

Paul and Helen sent these lovely photos of the 3 ginger kittens they adopted recently, named Spiro, Saffron and Sox, who are now collectively called 'The Holy Trinity'!

I thought you might like to see a few photos of the “Holy Trinity” as they have been called.

They really are wonderful. Had a full check up and are okay – Sox’s heart murmur doesn’t appear to be holding her back!
We think there is a bit of Burmese in Saffron as he does look so different from the other two. What do you think?

Regards

Paul & Helen.

P.S. Yes, it is a piano that Spiro and Saffron are in!

Missy and Tigger

Kelly and Lee sent these photos of Missy with her new best friend, Tigger.

Just thought you might like to see how our new friend has settled in with us, we named her Missy, I attached some pictures for you enjoyment. The other tabby cat in the pictures is Tigger.

Kitty and Rainbow

Stella and Rob sent these photos of Kitty and Rainbow who are now called Smoky and Bluebell. They are settling in to their new home very well but are not quite sure what to make of Dolly, their collie dog, but are not afraid of her.

"they are both fabulous additions to our family and we are very grateful to you for trusting us with them"

Missy and 'Arold

As promised I am sending the painting I did of 'Missy' and the one of 'Arold as well. She has settled in very well and it is now as if she has always been here. She still has her little quirky ways, like finding the highest point or the darkest place she can, to sleep.'Arold is very tolerant of her now but she tells him off should he invade her space. I suppose that is from when she lived her old life. She absolutely loves the garden and is always exploring out and about. She even pops into next doors garden to have a look around as they have a large pergola at the top of their garden and she can see for miles on top of there.I am afraid she has developed a little pot-belly but she is still very delicate. She is so pretty l just had to capture her in paint. Everyone says l got her nature to a tee and, l have got 'Arold's too.I hope you like them and please feel free to hang them up in the office if you want to. Many thanks for letting her come into our lives. Take careCassie and Clive

Milly

I just thought you would like to know how Milly is settling in with us. We adopted her from yourselves at the end of December, and after a shy couple of weeks she began to grow in confidence. Milly has become very playful and curious, and it seems that every day she finds a new place in the house or garden to sleep. As the girls at the kennels mentioned she really does love her food! She's a very friendly cat and our friends and family love and adore her just as much as we do, she's become a bit of a star!
We want to thank you for all the help and advice you gave us, and for letting us bring such a colourful character into our first home. We admire the work that you and the organisation do and hope that you continue your fantastic work for many years to come.We have attached some pictures of Milly doing her three favourite things, sleeping, being in the garden and playing with her toys.
Thanks again,
Kirsty and Ben.

Tilly (now called Poppet) has well and truly settled in to her new home and loves her new found feline friend, Sam, even if she is using him as a pillow!

Aslan, Diva and Ember

Kittens are all well. Ember now appears to think that Diva is her mum and follows her everywhere. Diva is also under this impression and washes her and looks after her. All 3 cats are getting on very well. There is the occasional spat but that's to be expected. They all play lovely together.

Ember now has free range of the house. She is getting used to us and is still nervous and skittish but very playful. She will let me pick her up and does love her cuddles when you finally catch her!

Pictures of the terrible trio!

Diva giving Ember a good clean.

Mr. Humphries and Trevor

Tiggy ( renamed Mr Humphries, due to his nosey ,questioning of everything around him) and Trevor are settling in well, Trevor is still very nervous of us but is eating for Wales and happy to sit on the settee on his own and watch whats going on, Mr H is not eating much as yet but is all over us for cuddles and "talking" quite a lot!

Moggie having fun

Here is our mascot Moggie having fun at the recent homing day at Kenwood kennels and cattery on 20th April.
A total of 11 cats were booked on the day and have now gone to their new homes.

Homing Fair

Amy and Rhiannon are pictured here with Moggie. The two girl guides came to our Homing Day to present us with a cheque for £50 which they had collected by doing a sponsored walk. This will go towards them achieving the Baden Powell award.
Moggie and the Branch say "Thanks very much girls".

Missy and 'Arold

Missy and Arold are now settling in together after some minor mishaps.

Just to let you know how Missy is getting along. First day..... well......... she led us a merry dance alright. We thought she had somehow got out and ran away. I knew there was no way she could have got out but as we couldn't find her anywhere in the house, that is what MUST have happened. I e-mailed Rose, l wrote posters out and put them in the stores, and l printed flyers and placed them all around the estate and beyond. Finally getting home extremely late at night and then going to bed exhausted and very upset. THEN.... l got up at 3 a.m. and there in front of me was Missy. Looking as if nothing had happened, well, she wouldn't know it had anyway. She MUST have been in the bedroom as we close the door at night to let 'Arold have the run of the house to catch mice...... thats the idea anyway. We literally looked everywhere in the bedroom apart from under the bed. There was no way she could get under there, we thought, as it is only a gap of about 2 inches. But, there, she must have been.

Missy and 'Arold are still hissing at each other but are sharing a room together so that is a great improvement. I don't think they will ever be big buddies but they are getting more social and we absolutley love her to bits. She is eating twice a day and a lot. At the kennels they said she only liked dry food but she is eating both at the moment. She loves the scratch post and playing with us and her toys. She has a special place in the dining room that she loves so we keep her in there at night as she obviously feels 'safe' in there. She likes to hide a lot which we are only now getting used to and l am getting to know the hiding places. So she is easy to find now..... and we don't panic !!! Thank you for giving us the opportunity to adopt her. Lots of love from Missy to you. Cassie and Clive Bell

Cariad

Cariad is a very special little cat. He and his brother Jack were picked up in a sorry state when they were kittens. At first it was thought they were feral but it soon became apparent that they were anything but. Cariad has chronic breathing problems due to the poor start he had in life but as you can see he is really happy in his new home where he is loved to bits and has turned into a really handsome chap.

The first time Marie and Bill saw Cariad they knew that he was destined to become an inportant part of their family.

Cariad has really fallen on his paws and loves is new life of luxury

Wisky

Wisky in his new home with his new pal Bonny the Scottie Dog

As promised, although late Wisky and my pup Bonny, he really is a loving cat, suprising though as he was hard to get hold of if you remember. I do hope you found homes for the others and that they are loved as much as my Wisky is.

thanks Judy,

from Wendy.

Pippa (Formally Prudence)

Just to let you know how Pippa is settling in. We will have had her for four weeks on Monday next 10th March.
She appears to be fine, eating and drinking well and although nervous at times, is very affectionate.
She hasn't been outside yet and we thought we might perhaps wait another week or two and then on a warm day, introduce her to the garden, when we can all be out there.
I have attached a couple of photographs for you.
Will keep you informed,
Best Wishes, Reg.

Mitzi

Our cat Mitzi was featured in the Evening Post on 29 September 2007 and we adopted her at the Autumn Homing Fair in October. She settled down quickly and soon made friends with Marmalade, our big ginger cat.
She loves food!, attention from our friends, climbing trees and exploring roof tops (good job we live in a bungalow estate).
She's a fab, cheeky cat and we love her lots.

Jasmine and Hercules

Jasmine and Hercules (originally Sooty and Jess) have only been with us for 2 weeks now yet it is impossible to imagine them not being around. Naturally for the first two days they were both very scared and hid but it is amazing how much they have come on in such a short time.

Jasmine is very confident and so intelligent, nothing slips her attention. She loves playing with her toy mouse, nothing gives her more pleasure then to disembowel it with her back legs! From the picture you can see our bed is also one of her favourite spots.

Hercules is such a big love. You can see his frustration sometimes as he comes over and curls up on your chest but his imagination means he gets spooked really easily and proceeds to gallop away at 100mph....15 seconds later he is back to try again. However, we have made so much progress with him and he is now even coming downstairs and sitting on Des’s lap.

We just wanted to let you know how they were getting on and say thank you so much for caring and doing the work that you do
Many Thanks

Des and Catherine

Leo (now Busta)

Attached photos are of Leo AKA Billy now finally named BUSTA, Billy did not suit him, and one of my previous cats was called Leo, so hence the name change.

He really is a beautiful cat, I just love him, after a few hisses and growls in the begining from Busta, he now accepts and actually kissed the dog, he is not afraid of anything !! In fact the dog is not quite sure what to make of him.

As you can see in the photos he has taken to sleeping in the strangest places, as he is so big we all walk around him when he sleeps on the floor, and he turns a few heads as he likes to sleep on the window sills.

Geri

Geri is very happy here (well she seems to be) she loves to sit on our lap and seems to enjoy sharing herself between both of us ensuring that neither of us gets left out! She sleeps a lot but likes to have a little wander around the house in the mornings and has taken a liking to our washing up bowl housed in the under stairs cupboard, needless to say we are doing our best to keep her out of there as it is like the black hole ofCalcutta! We do think that she misses the company of the other cats, as in her first few days she seemed to be looking for them, we are wondering if we should get her some company, but we will see how things go on that front. She is wary of visitors (more so men than women), and has upset my Dad as she would not come and say hello, he loves animals and this was very alien to him, time will sort that out I am sure.

Aslan & Diva

Kittens are doing very well. Aslan is becoming more tame every day. He has a favourite cushion by the radiator in my room and if ever you can't see him you know where he is.
Diva is a little monkey! I now know where the phrase 'naughty tortie' comes from! She's full of naughty fun and mischief! She's wonderful!
At 11.30 I give the kittens their last meal and then call them upstairs where we all jump into bed. Aslan obviously likes this routine because if I am later than this he sits and stares at me as if he's saying 'It's bedtime! What are you doing sitting there for?' One night I was really late and he was already in the bed when I got there! To top it off I now don't need my alarm at 7am as Diva wakes me up at this time every morning by shouting at me and giving me kitty kisses until I get up! Much nicer than the alarm!
Hope all is well there. Here's some pics.

Diva living up to her name. She did this every time I got the camera out! What a poser !!

Tigger

Tigger is settling in really well....he obviously has his own rules....the main one being...'don't touch me when I'm in bed or I'll bat you!'....and he has!
Other than that he's doing great. He's really good with his litter tray...and so far this morning he hasn't needed to pull his water bowl around the kitchen and slop water everywhere.
So here he is...in all his posing beauty. Someone said last night that he looks just like Puss in Boots in Shrek 2....and I think she's absolutely right.

Mog and Charlie

Mog and Charlie are settling in well here and we really love them. They are so affectionate and gentle. Mog, who is still sometimes nervy, is particularly loving and grabs my lap whenever he can. He is a beautiful animal and a perfect parent and he gives way to Charlie on everything - lets him take his food, the best bed and my lap if we wants it. We feel we are really lucky to have them.

Cheeky Charlie

Thanks again for my gorgeous little boy. The first 2 photos were taken around the time when I first brought him home and the last one with him cwtched in his little bed was taken yesterday so you can see how much he has grown and how dark his coat is getting. He is very healthy with sharp claws and teeth, which I experience at play time!! I have registered him with the local vets, where I will be taking him next month for his operation.

I will keep in touch with his progress.

Muppet

Just an update on one very affectionate and chilled out ( for most of the time) cat. The change in behaviour is remarkable in 8 weeks.

He`s discovered the great outdoors a few weeks ago and makes the most of it.Here is a recent picture on his favourite chair!

Best wishes, Ros & Dave Phillips

Mitzi

We thought you might like an update of Mitzi's (previously Betty) progress since coming to live with us. We collected Mitzi on Saturday 22nd December 2007 and would like to think that she has had the best Christmas and New Year ever at home with us.

She has been thoroughly spoilt and has settled in very quickly. She is very affectionate and loves to have a fuss made of her and we love her 'mad half hours' where she shoots around the house and goes berserk with her toys.

We love her to bits and she has certainly made our Christmas and NewYear! Here are some photos showing just how settled and comfortable Mitzi is. We thought you might like the one where she is poking her tongue out at the camera in particular! How cheeky!Happy New Year!Claire, Leigh & Bethan

Lucy

Bernice sent us a photo and a generous donation in memory of her beautiful cat Lucy who sadly died this time last year.
Lucy is still missed by Bernice and her family but naughty, young Chip has helped to soften the blow.

Tibsy and Henry

Happy New Year from Tibsy and Henry

As you can see we are happy in our new home

Libby

I thought I would drop you a line to let you know that Libby is doing really well, she’s been with us for 6 months now. I can’t think how she managed living in the Liberty stadium for so long as she won’t go out if it’s raining! She is a real character and rushes down from ‘her’ bedroom to say hello when I come in from work. She follows us around the house and is more like a dog than a cat in many ways. Other than bringing a couple of birds in then shaking them until nearly all their feathers fell out then losing interest and leaving me to catch them she’s perfect! We often think how lucky we were to get to your homing day early enough to adopt her.

Thanks
Alysha

Ali Cat

Ali took all of one hour to claim our sofa as her own! No problem using litter tray or eating. Has passed her test on climbing step-ladders and window sills, spends time planning for when she is allowed out. (Have seen a map of Poland in her basket.Invasion imminent!!)

Aslan and Diva

30th Dec update-
Aslan is coming on in leaps and bounds. He now spends all night cuddled up in bed with me and loves being petted as long as you're sitting down. Standing people are tall and scary apparently! I've also been able to handle pick him up and handle him by taking him by the scruff like his mum would have. He seems to have taken to me far more since I've been handling him like this and will let me brush him with his soft bristle brush. He likes that quite a lot. Because I can now handle him I leave the bedroom door open in the day for him to wander. So far he's only brave enough to come downstairs when the children are in bed but he is getting braver.

Diva has been helping him out again. She spent all day yesterday sitting halfway down the stairs trying to tempt him down. She's very patient with him although looks a bit fed up that he's so nervous sometimes! She finally led him all the way down the stairs when it was quieter in the evening and appeared to be giving him a guided tour of the living room! She's such a clever little cat!

Pictures from Dawn who adopted Aslan, a beautiful long haired, ginger male who is semi-feral. With patient handling Dawn is bringing him round slowly but surely.

Diva who is not feral at all is also helping Aslan lose his fear of people. Dawn says she is a little star.

Daisy

Dear Friends at Swansea Cats Protection

I have just seen your latest “October” Newsletter and I thought I should drop you a line and tell you how I am since you gave me to my new “Mum”. I am very happy and not so frightened now. After leaving the Kennels I was very nervous and wouldn’t let anyone pick me up. But now I know that “Mum” loves me and would never hurt me so now I don’t mind being picked up and cuddled by her. I even let “Mum” stroke and rub my paws!!! I am very happy and all our visitors say what a lovely silky shiny coat I have. I have also put on a little bit of weight, but not too much. Sometimes I am fussy about eating my food and “Mum” makes me finish before she gives me anything else, which makes me cross, but at least I am not getting poggie.

I hope all your other cats are lucky and find nice safe warm loving homes. I think I am lucky, though “Mum” thinks she is the luckiest one.

Hope you all have a good Christmas.
With lots of purrs From Daisy

ps I was called Angie and have a beauty spot like that film star Margaret Lockwood – not that I am vain – my picture was in the last Newsletter

pps I think that Daisy (ex-Angie) is the best thing that has happened to me for years. Thank you Swansea Cats Protection

Jasper

Just thought I'd write and let you know how Jasper is coming along! He was very shy on his first day but we gave him loads of attention and he soon settled in.I guess new surroundings and everything!Speaking of attention, that's what he loves the most and he certainly gets loads! He is developing his own little personality and loves exploring at the moment.Finding sweet papers and bits and bobs that he loves to play with.He is too little at the moment to go out, but I'm sure in a few months he'll be exploring the neighbourhood! We are so happy that we adopted Jasper, he is absolutely gorgeous! Thanks for everything.

Muppet

I thought you would like an update on Muppet.Although he will swipe occasionally there is a huge improvement in behaviour. He is a lapcat on his terms and he seems to be catching up with his probably, lost kittenhood, since he loves being played with. It`s a remarkable transformation in jost over a week. It`s very rewarding to interact with him.He will still attack your feet but it`s either when he can`t have his own way or boredom. It`s only in the last few days that he will spontaneously curl up somewhere to sleep. He must be much more confident.

Princess and Sparkle

Just thought I would update you on Princess and Sparkle. We decided not to change their names as we forget to ask whether they were abandoned with these names and if they were then they had had them for some time and if they werent then they had only had the names for one month at Kenwood. They have settled remarkably quickly. The first few days were spent mainly in the cupboard under the stairs, but coming out for food. Princess was more sociable than Sparkle at first. Sparkle cried any time she was picked up as if she had been hurt but that has now improved but she does have a delicate spot under her front leg pits. They have been with us now for two weeks and last Saturday we allowed them out for a short period in the garden. This is where we saw a change in character. Princess who seemed to be the quiet introverted one was the most adventurous, going to the boundary and up amongst the trees. Sparkle had to be carried out and then spent a little time on the gravel garden, but came in as soon as I did. They are now both more sociable and spend their time out with us and are walking past our dogs, and are even now lying on the floor close to the dogs. It seems that they have been used to a very comfortable home, they are fussy with their brand of food, their favourite place to lie is on top of the radiators. They also try to get in to the bedrooms at every opportunity!! I have attached a few photos so you can see how at home they are

Ellie

We've had Ellie for about 4 months now. She is coming on now after a slow start. She is still easily frightened and spends quite of bit of time under the bed. Or behind the plant pots.
She does not like being picked up and cuddled. Yet.
Her favourite past time is to creep under bed covers at 6 and swat sleeping feet and then run for cover at the resulting outrage. I'm sure she has learnt to snigger.

Indiana Jones

Hi my name is Indiana Jones ( I was called Lady when you looked after me)
I have been adventuring in my new home now for 18 months, I love to explore my garden, but I also love to snuggle on a lap.
I live up to my name, I am very independent and adventurous with a bit of a ruthless streak- the locals have the scars to prove it-
but they worship me all the same.
PS I still like to wrap myself around a neck like a scarf, even the Vet thought that was cute when I did it to her!

Yogi

Well as you can see Yogi has settled in really well its like he has always been part of our family, he is not nervous of any of us. He sure likes to play like hanging from my curtains, dancing over my dinning table and hanging from my legs when he wants a nible, and when he is tired he comes on my lap, stretches out purres like hell and goes to sleep for hours just like a proper cat. I LOVE HIM TO BITS!!!!!!!!
Please could you thank Judy for me for all of her help and also many, many thanks to you and Bob for letting me adopt this wonderful pussy YOGI.
Linda

Caiti

Caiti has been with us a year now and will finally settle on my lap(on her own terms,of course) she is adorable and thoroughly spoilt...in the picture she is in her play tent and contrary to her expression she really enjoys it...all the best from jenny and ian

Sheeva

Sheeva was a very shy little cat but Kayleigh saw through his timidness and gave him a chance. She is now a very much loved and happy cat.

Chloe, Oscar and Felix

I thought you may like to know how the Cwmffrwd 3 are getting along. When we had Chloe (Choccie) she was recovering from almost starving and having a really upset tummy. The upset tummy continued for a while & we took her along to the vet just to have her checked over but she was fine & our vet thought it was just the stress from everything she had gone through in her short life. Chloe took a very little time to get used to Oscar & Felix and despite a very short period of hissing, they soon settled down with each other. Chloe has gone from being a very shy, quiet and nervous cat into being one who is very confident and she has developed a very fine singing voice which she likes to practice, especially around 4am! She loves to go out but is accompanied by one of us as she likes to play with her toys when she is in the garden. Oscar & Felix like to play with her when she is in the garden so she is seldom alone outside. Chloe now loves to eat and is very cheeky at feeding times - she ducks down under Oscar's chin and steals his food - Oscar is very patient with her and just moves to another bowl to eat.....until Chloe decides she would prefer his bowl to hers. Chloe doesn't just single out Oscar though, she will do the same with Felix although he won't always move out of the way for her and he occasionally has to remind her who is alpha cat. This photo of Chloe was taken in one of her favourite places, my bedroom windowsill. The photo of Felix shows him in one of his really favourite places, the conservatory sofa and Oscar is walking along the coffee table

Daisy

I have at last learnt how to send photos by email,so thought I'd let you know how Daisy is getting on. Celia approached me in May last year to take in this sad, depressed little cat. She was thought to be 9 years old, but my Vet thinks she is nearer 14, which I think is probably nearer the mark.

She took a long, long time to settle in. When she eventually came to sit on my lap, I had a good cry, because it was the result of a great deal of patience. Now, I never get to sit down alone-she's there like a shot!

However, she still won't trust anyone else and is particularly nervous of anyone standing up. I think someone has kicked her at sometime. I wish I could make her understand that that will never happen again.

She loves her food and is acquiring rather expensive tastes! I love to spoil her though, because she has probably had a bad time in her life, so I want only the best for her now.

She is not sociable with my other cat, Barney, but they are not aggressive to each other. One of my cats died a few weeks ago and Daisy lay alongside her during the nights when she was ill. Daisy was not at all demanding of me in the last week of Belle's life. It was as though she realised that I had other priorities.

She has become very precious to me. She is arthritic, so can be cranky, but we understand each other. I am glad to have her with me and, you know, I think she is glad to be here.

Bilbo & Baggins (AKA Felix Twins)

The twins have settled in well. We have been so enthralled by them that no work has gone on in the house or garden all weekend!
As we picked them up on Bastille Day we thought that they would have French influenced names but as life seems to be one big adventure for them we have decided to call them Bilbo and Baggins, Baggins being the almond eyed (slightly cross eyed) kitten.
They are such fun and great company
We hope that you enjoy the photos

Oscar & Felix

I thought you may like to see our 2 beautiful cats whom we adopted in a homing fair around Sept. 2005. At that time they were called Tom & Jerry but we changed their names to Oscar & Felix. Oscar is all black & Felix is black & white. Both Oscar & Felix were timid and did not like being handled but they are now both big softies and love to be stroked and have their bellies tickled. Oscar appears to be the bravest but hides when visitors come - Felix suprised us by being the first to inspect anyone who comes to visit. We had a scary time with Felix when he developed cystitis but is now on daily medication and is completely well. Felix has a "wellness indicator" his tail! When Felix is well, his tail is a perfect C shape, held high & is referred to as his sky hook. When Felix is feeling under the weather, his tail gets lower; the lower his tail, the more unwell he is.
Oscar loves to eat & since starting his tablets, Felix loves to eat too though he is on a special diet. This photo shows them in one of their favourite places, my ironing straight out of the dryer. Oscar & Felix have become confident boys who love being pampered and stroked and are very much loved members of our family.
Bye

Charlie

Thank you very much for allowing me to adopt Charlie (now called Harvey) at
your open day at Kenwood in April. As you can see from the enclosed photo I think he has settled in quite well!!

Bobby

Here are some pic's of Bobby, who we are calling Bootle (after the children's book about a cat who lost his purr until his 'tin openers' returned). He has now relaxed and purrs constantly, he certainly has found his purr. If I sit down he is on my lap, he sleeps on my feet at night and we have become good friends in a few days. My young female tabby cat 'Luna' is showing off to him, I think they will be friends. It is as though he has always been here. It is strange how the right cat has a way of finding you.
Jane
Note from the volunteer who picked up Bootle. A very sad tabby was found hunched up in an old shed. He was un-neutered, full of fleas and had a bad paw which caused him to howl in pain. He is now a VERY much loved part of a new family. This is what makes volunteering for the Cats Protection worthwhile !!

Liberty

Hello

Just a quick note to say how well Liberty has settled in to her new home – we call her Libby. When she arrived she walked about sniffing and purring for about an hour then settled down on my lap for the next 5 hours!

She seems really happy and content and sleeps at the bottom of our bed. She went out on Monday night and disappeared for an hour and we had to entice her back with some food. She has ignored all her toys, she prefers just to sit on your lap and be stroked. Having said that, she does like to chase some cotton thread around the living room!

She’s been really good with the litter tray, we’re having less success with the scratching post but she doesn’t leave a mark so I think I’ll let her carry on. She’s going to Gower Vets to be chipped tomorrow so we can let her out without worrying so much!

I’ve attached a photo of her on my lap, she is such a lovely cat – we can’t believe our luck. I took it on my mobile so it’s not as clear as it could be. I’ll send more when we have them.

Thanks for all your help and advice

Best wishes
Alysha & Joe

Thought you would like a picture of Caiti ( short for Caitlin ,formerly Suki ) in one of her favourite spots, bird watching from the conservatory. She is coming along really well although remains nervous, particularly of any strange noises and dislikes other cats coming onto her patch.

Roxy

Roxy was probably one of the hardest cats we have ever tried to home. She is about 10 years old and was a very much loved cat of a lady who had no choice but to give her up for adoption. After being fostered by Julia for about 6 months she learnt some social graces and was put on a strict diet to lose weight. Roxy had now found a loving home with a very understanding couple who give Roxy a bit of space and let her be grumpy when she is in a mood !

'Thought you might like a picture of the 'grumpy one' not being quite so grumpy. She is sat on her favourite pink blanket, looking very pleased with herself.' Ed

Tigga & Gizmo

I thought I would drop you a line (and a picture) about Tigga and Gizmo – who I adopted Whitsun Bank Holiday. I immediately fell for Tigga when I saw him at Kenwood, and chose Gizmo (originally Benjamin) from 7 kittens. They sang quite a bit on the journey home and immediately disappeared into a corner when I opened their cages at home, but after a bit of coaxing Tigga was in my arms having cuddles! He still loves his cuddles and follows me around the house, closely followed by Gizmo. They get on really well, Gizmo always wants to be near Tigga and even pushes his way in when eating to be close. Tiggas immediate reaction when I come home from work or see him first thing in the morning is to run away from me, but within a couple of minutes he is fine and winding himself around my legs looking up at me to pick him up-as for Gizmo, try and catch him! But when he is tired, he lets me pick him up and I put him next to me on the sofa on a fleecy blanket to sleep with Tigga on my lap- it’s a cats world! The first few days Tigga was quite fretful, sitting on the window sill crying, but thankfully he has calmed down, with the help of Gizmo I think. I took them to the vet this week for their first injections, they behaved really well, but Gizmo was a little under the weather for a day or so, but is back to normal now. I call home every lunch break to see and feed them, and they are both very clean, always using the tray, no accidents yet. I have left them unsupervised in the lounge a couple of afternoons, and they haven’t destroyed anything yet – goods boys or what?

Thanks once again for all your help, and I have fallen head over heals in love with the pair of them.

Chip

I've have sent some more pics of Chip for you to see him doing yoga, sitting on the paper, on top of the wall cupboard, and watching TV. Chip has strange eyes in a certain light and they seem to glow. On one occasion he was hiding behind a table and his eyes were glowing (light reflecting off) when he suddenly jumped up at me as I bent down to look at him. Frightened the hell out of me! Latest antics are hunting (and eating) insects around the house, running around at top speed for 30minutes as if someone is chasing him (before going to the litter tray),tearing more of my net curtains, climbing curtains and coats, breaking 2 litter trays by jumping on them, breaking my flip-top bin, deliberately throwing things off the table, carrying things around (especially myDad-in-law's underpants about 3 times every day), chewing my artificial flowers, jumping in the sink with the potatoes and carrots, sleeping onthe microwave, jumping on the newspaper whenever my husband starts to read it (he hasn't finished one for weeks!).

Sue sent these new photos of Maddy and Trinnie to show how large Maddie has grown and how small Trinnie has stayed.

Bramble

You might be a little surprised to hear but Bramble settled in straightaway after picking her up from kenwood on 16th Feb (photos attached from her first few nights with us) she'd explored the house, ate some food andfound her spot on the sofa, in the first night with us (which we wereexpecting for her to be hiding behind the sofa) She has not yet ventured out however she loves sitting in the window watching the other cats in the street and the birds (when the weather is good). We hope that when the sun starts to shine she'll find the encouragement to venture out for a sunbath She is very affectionate and loves her cuddles - however she does loveto sleep in the day - her energy levels do come about in the evening whereshe likes to play. We have been very surprised and very happy with Bramble's progress sofar -as every day she gets a little more confident And we are very glad that she has become one of the family - we wouldlike to thank you for all your help in finding her Rachel, Richard & Bramble x

Thomas

We received some great photos of Thomas from Paul. Thomas was diagosed as diabetic when in our care last year. It is marvellous to see him looking so well. His insulin dose is down from 5 units a day to 2, due to him having more exercise and the care and attention given by Paul and family.

Chip

I first met Chip at Fran's house on 8th March when I went to see Maisie and Sooty but he persuaded me that he was the cat for me! On the way home in the car, he talked to me and put his paw through the cage to touch my arm whenever I changed gear! When we got home he came straight out and made friends with the other 2 members of the household. He enjoyed some chicken and ham pate, had a cuddle from each of us, and then started to explore the house.Chip (aka Mad Max) runs around the house at top speed, especially up and down the stairs. He climbs all the time; jumps onto the worktop, onto the fridge freezer, and onto the wall cupboard, and looks down at us from 8 feet up! I was worred that he would hurt himself but Fran assured me that he would be OK; now he walks along the top of the very narrow board with coat hooks. Also tried swinging on a lace net curtain and ripped it!Chip loves playing and keeps finding things to play with. He has a cardboard tube, empty box of 12 food sachets (in which we hide the ringing ball and he retrieves it), small mouse, large scratch mouse, mouse on a string, plus other assorted items he has collected. He has just taken up playing football with the ringing ping pong ball, loves water and watches the tap run, and uses his paw to smack the water! He gets into the sink with water in and flicks water at us, and drinks the water from the tap. As well as being a live wire, he loves cuddles and sleeping on laps, and has a very loud purr....We are all very pleased that Chip came to live with us as he so entertaining. Thanks to Fran and Judy for another lovely moggie to live with us!

Katherine's cats

Katherine has sent some more photos of her cats. One is of Alfie (formerly Albert) and Jeffrey (formerly Bruno) 2 of her CP cats cramming into a basket with Harry from Cardiff, to get the warmth from the radiator.

The other is feeding time for her 7 cats before the 2 strays arrive!

Mr Tibbs

Caroline and Sam have taken on a number of our older cats including Mr Tibbs and Hettie

Today during a small sunny period Tibby ventured into the great outdoors - with a bit of encouragement!
He has settled in very well. If anyone is worried about taking an older cat they shouldn't be. All ours have been older and they have all settled in seamlessly. They soon get into your routine and within days it is like they have always been here.

Mr Tibbs came from a very bad situation and we cossetted him a bit separating him for a while and giving him his own en-suite room! This enabled the others to get to know him very slowly. They were ignoring each other within hours of his door being left open!

We are so glad we had him. I think you will agree he looks much better now.

I have also enclosed apicture of Hettie who is looking WELL too! She is on a perpetual diet but I think she must have trouble with her glands!!! (Isn't that what you say when you never lose weight?) She continues on her antibiotics and goes out much less than the others. She is very happy though and content with her own little way of life. She has a bed that is heated all day and she venture out a little if the mood takes her.

Update on Pippin and Kiara now Sophie and Rosie
They are both settling in really well. They were initially nervous, especially Rosie, Sophie was too nosy, but started to come round in afew days. Rosie loves to play with her toys, Sophie does too, but prefers to watch Rosie sometimes.... They are both eating really well. They alsolove looking out of the window, so it won't be long now before I let themout, taking them for their injections tomorrow. They have their mad half hours, running after each other up and down the stairs, they both love the stairs, (as you can see from the photos),whether it's running up and down them or just laying on them (maybe they haven't seen them before, who knows)... Thank you for all your time, help and understanding before and duringthe process of finding these two sweeties and keep up all the woderful work that you do.

Verity

Pam sent these photos of Verity and says
"It took Verity a full 60 minutes to settle in. During that time she ate a light lunch, had a quick drink, located the litter tray and used it, sniffed every corner of the room, tried to climb up inside the grandfather clock, leapt onto the windowsill to survey the view and finally settled next to me on the sofa to read the newspaper."

We think Verity has well and truly landed on her paws with a lovely view of the beach and sea.
Lots of interesting things to watch there!

Willow and Pip

Willow and Pip are 2 of Liz's 3 CP cats. Bruno is the 3rd.
Liz says "Here are Willow and Pip settling down for an evening watching TV by the fire. Willow is still settling in to the household she hisses at everyone and refuses to go outside. Bruno loves her and is never far away.
They enjoy un-decorating the tree and playing tennis with the baubles!"

Daisy & Duke

We adopted two kittens from you two weeks ago, and have named them Daisy and Duke. Both are settling in well. At first they were very nervous and would not come near us, however after two weeks they both love being stroked and purr very loudly! They also both love laying across my lap and sleeping. They are also getting quite cheeky and are certainly finding their confidence. They still get very nervous especially when they meet new people, but I am sure as the weeks pass their confidence will continue to grow.We love having them around the house and look forward to coming home to see their cute little faces.

Many thanks to Cats Protection,

Lisa and Graeme

Emma is hoping to fundraise for us at Christmas if her musical quartet is allowed to play in the Quadrant in Swansea.

Spikey

Spikey was taken on by Lara and Tim as a very scared, feral kitten. They persevered and now he is a loving, playful, friendly kitten.
Lara says "He has turned into a soppy little kitten and expects maximum attention at all times, he doesn't stop purring. I think it's safe to say we are totally besotted with him!"

Thank You

We received this email from Natalie - as you can see from her comments it is very rewarding when a timid scared cat blossoms into a happy, confident member of the family.'

6 years ago we adopted a cat from one of your branches and was very, very timid since then she has grown into a cheeky little sweetheart. I just want to say thanks for saving her from her horrible past and for all you do.

Natalie age 13'

Pickle

Pickle was adopted by Katy earlier on this year. Katy says "just wanted to let you know we are having a lovely life with Pickle, she is part of the family and has settled in extremely well. Sparkey

Sparkey is a new resident at Ros's home in Jersey. Ros took him on when a workmate was moving to a flat and couldn't take Sparkey with her. Sparkey is 10 years old but keeps his age well and is a kitten at heart.

Ros is a fan of Sooty from Swansea who recently had an expensive operation on his bladder. Ros is one of the many people who have contributed to the Sooty fund which enabled us to pay the bill at the School of Veterinary Science at Bristol.

Thanks to Ros and others Sooty can now lead a normal life.

Tina

Tina (formerly Treacle) was adopted by Molly Grimes as a rather skinny older kitten last year.
She has now filled out and become a beautiful cat. She is very affectionate, but also quite naughty and has been known to climb the curtains and sit on the curtain rail in order to have a 'cat's eye' view of everything that's going on!

Max and Minnie

Max and Minnie were adopted by Rhian and Rhodri, they have settled well and are very much loved.

Elsa at 20 weeks

Elsa is growing into a beautiful red tabby. She loves to play with her white mouse which is preferable to the real dead rat that Gemma, another of Susan's cats dropped at her feet and expected her to play with!

Sebastian

A RAGS TO RICHES STORY

Sebastian was picked up by Dodie as an abandoned, flea-ridden kitten in a bad area of Swansea in 2004, she then fostered him for the Branch. However in 2005 Dodie decided to go back to Hong Kong but could not bear to leave Sebastian behind, even though it meant rushing to get all his vaccinations up to date and the cost of flying him to Hong Kong was not cheap!

He now lives there happily with Dodie in a big house next to her place of work so she can nip home and see him when ever possible.
He weighs 15 pounds, but the vet says that's all lean meat, no fat. He is not overfed.

We think there must be some 'Maine Coon' or 'Norwegian Forest Cat' pedigree in there somewhere!

Tanis

'We adopted our lovely white kitten on april 20th, we named her Tanis and she quickly became part of the family. Our black cat Neiko has great fun playing with her and she loves to torment him by running into places he cant fit! Our vet pronounced her fit and healthy and her injections are complete - we are now waiting to have her spayed untill then she has the run of the house and the many nooks and crannies to explore. Tanis loves to be next to us and has become quite a lap cat in the past couple of weeks, I love it when she climbs on my lap and snuggles around my neck to sleep, bedtimes are spent on her very own soft pillow in my daughters room and she sometimes gets herself under the cover too. she has taken to sitting on the windowsill during the day, next to Neiko and they look so funny one large black cat and a small white kitten side by side. as you can tell we are smitten and she's a much loved and pampered kitten, please pass on our thanks and good wishes to Liz and Judy without whom we wouldn't have our loveable little tike"

Many thanks to you all

Lynn

Snowy & Candy

Update on Candy and Snowy

"We are so happy in our new home, our favourite thing to do is chase our toy mice across the floor, stretching as much as we can.

That's me, Candy in the top photo on my own (looking gorgeous, I must say). Mum, Snowy in the photo on left is sleeping unawares I am about to pounce! I have learnt a lot from my Mum about people; they only want to stroke, be nice, and play with me. As you can see from the photo on the right Mum's favourite toy is the pink mouse.

Thank you Cats Protection for looking after us so well for a long time and finding us this loving new home".

Katherine's CP cats

Alfie (formerly Albert) that's me bottom left, relaxing in my new home. My skin is healing nicely and I think I like it here! On the right is Jeffrey (formerly Bruno) who is probably a little older than me, although he's not admitting it. Jeffrey, I respect and admire in contrast to those 2 mad youngsters Archie and Alice, (see top photo) although I must say they do look deceivingly demure in this photo.

Leo (or is it Smudge?) and Barney (2 of Fran's tabbies) having a midnight feast on biscuits from 'Oscar'.

Milly & Monty (Munchkin & Pushkin)

We just wanted to let you know that we have settled into our new home very quickly and are enjoying causing mischief on a daily basis!! We still like to wrestle but have added the following activities to our list of pastimes:

Milly's favourites:
1) Sitting in bathroom sink to catch drips of water from tap
2) Helping add to computer work by walking across keyboard

Monty favourites:
1) Stealing washing-up sponge; making off with sponge across house leaving a wet trail and finally killing sponge by ripping it to shreds
2) Dunking my paw in coal bucket and leaving dusty trails across sitting-room floor
3) Shredding paperwork with teeth, the more important the better!

The food is good but we are not so keen on duck or rabbit flavour; however, the roast beef we stole from the kitchen while our parents backs were turned was particularly tasty!

Once we have finally exhausted our new parents we like to curl up on their laps, or infront of the fire for a catnap.

Caroline's cats

Caroline and Sam adopted Polly and Hettie from us last year. They have also recently adopted Sooty who you may recognise as one of our long stay cats - she certainly seems to have landed on her paws !!

"Just thought I would send you some photos of Polly and Hettie. I don't know
if you heard but we adopted 'Sooty' a few weeks ago, she is now called Suki.

She seems to have settled down reasonably well. Hettie seems to
have taken a real shine to her. Look at the photo of the three of them on the
small settee."
